Key features include no transfer points, reduced civil construction investment, low maintenance costs, and high conveying capacity, solving conveying challenges that cannot be achieved by ordinary or patterned conveyor belts.
Classification of Skirt Conveyor Belts
Skirt conveyor belts are categorized into two types: conveyor belts with skirts and no clapboards, and conveyor belts with skirts and clapboards. They enable continuous conveyance of various bulk materials at any inclination angle from 0-90 degrees, featuring large conveying angles, extensive application range, and minimal space requirements. The absence of transfer points reduces civil construction investment while providing low maintenance costs and high conveying capacity.
Corrugated sidewall conveyor belts can transport all types of bulk materials—from coal, ore, and sand to fertilizer and grain—in horizontal, inclined, vertical, and variable-angle directions. Material particle size is not limited, ranging from small particles up to 400mm large particles, with conveying capacity from 1 cubic meter/hour to 6000 cubic meters/hour.
Base Band Construction
The base tape consists of four components: upper cover rubber, lower cover rubber, belt core, and lateral rigid layer. The upper cover rubber thickness typically ranges from 3-6mm, while the lower cover rubber thickness is generally 1.5-4.5mm. The core material handles tensile forces and can be made from cotton canvas (CC), nylon canvas (NN), polyester canvas (EP), or steel wire rope (ST). A special reinforcement layer is added to the core to enhance lateral rigidity, known as the lateral rigid layer. Base tape width specifications align with ordinary tape standards and meet GB/T7984-2001 requirements.
